Dr. Andreas Großler studied Business Informatics at Mannheim University (D) and at Aristoteles University in Thessaloniki (GR). He received his doctoral degree (2000) and habilitated (2006) in Business Administration at Mannheim University. He was researching and teaching as an associate professor at Radboud University in Nijmegen (NL) for nine years where he directed the Erasmus-Mundus Program in System Dynamics, jointly offered by four European Universities. Currently, Dr. Großler is full professor of operations management at University of Stuttgart – Department of Operations Management (Germany) where he is also managing director of the Institute of Business Administration. He teaches operations strategy and behavioral operations management courses at the undergraduate, master, and doctoral level. His research interests lie in the fields of sustainable operations management, behavioral operations and supply chain management, in applying system dynamics modelling and simulation in business and not-for-profit organizations and in investigating individual and organizational dynamic decision-making. Dr. Großler was a managing editor of System Dynamics Review and is an associate editor of International Journal of Operations and Production Management and Operations Management Research. He also holds a leading position in the European Operations Management Association, the international System Dynamics Society, the German Society for System Dynamics, and the Society for Business and Social Cybernetics.
